The MOC3021M is a zero-crossing Power Isolator IC from Fairchild Semiconductor. It consists of a MOSFET output optically coupled to a logic gate. It is designed for use in AC switching and dimming applications. The device features a high input-to-output isolation voltage of 4000 Vrms and a low input current drive requirement of typically 2 mA. It also features a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and a wide operating voltage range of 4.5V to 20V.
